Jackass Award - Al Sharpton

Al Sharpton you are a jackass. Yes Kelly Tilghman made a dumb remark. In an offhand comment on the Golf Channel, Tilghman said that the only way upcoming golfer can beat Tiger Woods is to:
"Lynch him in a back alley."

Not smart in this Don Imus day in age, but she apologized to friend Woods and to the American public. Then comes The African American PC Police, Sharpton.

"Lynching is not murder in general. It is not assault in general. It is a specific racial term that this woman should be held accountable for," the reverend said. "What she said is racist. Whether she's a racist -- whether she runs around at night making racist statements -- is immaterial."

Sharpton said he wants Tilghman fired, period. And if the Golf Channel doesn't comply, the network can expect to see Sharpton and his National Action Network supporters picketing its Orlando, Florida, headquarters.

Tilghman has been suspended for two weeks but apparently Sharpton does not believe that is enough. He is calling for her job, even though he has not seen the tape and he thought Kelly Tilghman was a man. Not everyone needs to be fired Mr. Sharpton, Get over it.

One more thing. Who in the Hell is watching the Golf Channel in January.

Jackass Award-Colin Cowherd

There have been some stupid comments about the death of Sean Taylor. No one is the world is a bigger Jackass today than ESPN Radio's Colin Cowherd.

Jackass Award – Bill Callahan

Bill you are Awarded the prestigious Jackass Award for completely dismantling a once proud program. The terms of his buyout have yet to be release but I am sure he is smiling all the way to the bank. And Yes Fat Boy, up there in South Bend, we see you on bended knee thanking the Lord that your season is over today.

Jackass Award...Jim Harbaugh

Stanford Coach Jim Harbaugh commended Lloyd Carr's tenure as Michigan's coach but said he has no interest in returning to his alma mater as Carr's successor.

"The Michigan people will do a great job in selecting someone that will carry on that tradition," Harbaugh said Tuesday. "But it's not going to be me. I am happy where I am. I could not be happier with the job that I have."

Harbaugh was a star quarterback for Michigan in the mid-1980s, leading the Wolverines to 21 victories in his final two seasons and making good on his promise to beat Ohio State.

Well thank you Jim for ending the suspense. In your first year at Standford you compiled an impressive 3 wins and 6 losses. I do think you are a fine coach, but come-on, you are not in the big leagues yet. If Michigan hires Jim, Bill Martin, their AD would be the instant winner of the annual "Darwin Award."

Jackass Award! Kelvin Sampson

The Assignation of Rob Senderoff by the Cheater Kelvin Sampson..........

Now you might ask yourself what the hell is talking about. Indiana Assistant Coach Rob Senderoff resigned today in the wake of the Hoosiers' recruiting violations.

Now what happened exactly. Rob Senderoff made more than 100 illegal calls over the past year, including 10 three-way calls in which the Cheater Kelvin Sampson, who denied having knowledge that Senderoff was on the line. Yeah right Kelvin, who do you think was breathing on the other end.

This is nothing new for Kelvin, he made 577 illegal calls while at Oklahoma. So what does the NCAA do with habitual phone offender......Not Much. Indiana would punish Sampson with the forfeiture of a $500,000 bonus and loss of 1 scholarship next year.

So what does an assistant coach get for secondary NCAA rules violations.......Basically fired. Hope his pregnant wife and a four-year-old daughter were not counting on him for money and support. You punish the guy, not fire him.
