Lock of the Week, Gone Bad
This is only the second Lock of the Week this season that I fudged. Currently it is 38-0 and the Pats have moved to the Prevent. It will take a miracle.

Lock of the Week
This is a no brainer, the Lock of the Week is the Washington Redskins +16.5 on the road at Foxboro to take on the "The Greatest Team in the History of the World, " The New England Patriots. Now I understand that Tom Brady is great, he might be the first player enshrined in Canton while still playing, so I am saying he still throws 4 touchdowns.
Here is what you need to know about the Pats this year:
7-0 against the Spread. Normally I keep hitting the ATM until it runs out of free crash but I am jumping off early. The handicappers have pushed the line too high.
The Joe Gibbs / Al Saunders' offense is horrible, Gregg Williams' (Second 'G' is for Genius) defense should keep the game close enough. Gibbs wants to grind it out on the ground and make this game boring; he will succeed for a while but New England will get ahead by 14 or more forcing Gibbs to throw the ball. Gibbs will finally realize he has talent on the offense end and a 2 million dollar coordinator who might actually know what he is doing.
The Skinny:
The Skins have the 25th in overall offense, averaging 304.5 yards and 20.3 points per game. Washington is ranked fifth in overall defense, allowing 276.8 yards and 14.7 points per game.
The Pats are first in overall offense, averaging 432.9 yards and 39.9 points per game.
New England is ranked fourth in overall defense, allowing 274.6 yards and 14.7 points per game.
Simply put New England is better from Coach to Kicker. Now calm down Skins fans, I know Joe Gibbs is a Hall of Famer, but Mr. Personality Bill Belichick is what Gibbs was 20 years ago....a top Coach. New England wins, but a late touchdown by the Skins will shatter the spread.
The Results:
New England 37 Washington 24!!!

4 Star Lock of the Week
The New England Patriots are giving -16 to the Miami Dolphins this weekend.
The Patriots are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games in October.
The Patriots are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game.
The Patriots have been routinely beating good teams by three touchdowns, so beating the ‘Fins by 18 should be a walk in the park – or in this case, at the beach. Forget the Pats struggles in Miami; take the Pats to win and cover – again.
