The Early Signing Period begins today and one national recruiting site has published its 2008 Team Rankings. Scout.com has the Kentucky class ranked number 13 overall. I thought they would have a couple of more guys committed. Still they got in state state stud Darius Miller and versatile wing/point man DeAndre Liggins. Kentucky still needs a Center for the future.
What's Next
There will be slim pickings left after the early signing period. I don't think there will be a situation like last year when teams had to wait for Jai Lucas and Patrick Patterson. We should know where Chris Singleton is going today; press conference is at 2:45 PM. Its down to Kentucky and FSU; everyone says that FSU has a slight edge over the Cats. Hope not.
New development on in state star Scotty Hopson, Rivals and Scout are both reporting that Hopson will not sign this week with Mississippi State University. Good news for Kentucky, not so much for the Bulldogs. Scout has them ranked as the #10 team with Hopson.
