G-Webb Crushes Kentucky, 84-68

This is an extended Box Score Breakdown.

Before the Breakdown, I would like to interject a couple of quick thoughts. Kentucky was not ready to play. Some might call it "a let down game." Unfortunately for those people you have to play more than one game to have a letdown game. The Kentucky Football team had a letdown game almost two weeks ago against Mississippi State. The football team has played big game after big game and they have many key players out with injury.

The basketball team has played one game against a "Directional School" (Central Arkansas University) and another game against Gardner-Webb which is located in...........North Carolina (Sorry it took me a couple of minutes to Google it). Thank God it is only November and no one is really paying attention. All and All it was a horrible performance. It was like watching a friend discipline their kids....just uncomfortable.
  • "Ramel Bradley 2006" traveled into the future to play the game against G-Webb.
  • Bradley led the team with 24 points. He still played horrible
  • Bradley played the entire game.
  • Bradley was 14-14 from the line.
  • Kentucky's big three, Bradley, Joe Crawford and Jodie Meeks were a combined 10 of 36 from the field.
  • Patrick Patterson recorded his first double-double, with 12 rebounds and 12 points.
  • No Trip to NY this Year. I am sure the 2K sponsors are thrilled.
  • Alex Legion scored 13 points, all in the second half.
  • Kentucky had 8 assist and 12 turnovers.
  • Happy 48th B-day Billy.
  • I turned off the game with 3:41 left, est 15,000 fans have fled Rupp Arena.
  • G-Webb went up by 2 touchdowns to start the game and never looked back.
  • Kentucky shot 35.5 percent for the game, 32.4 percent the second half.
  • G-Webb shot 53.1 percent for the game, including 73.3 the second half.

What the rest of the world is saying

  • Matt Jones at KSR might have to be talked off the ledge. He says it is the worst loss he has ever seen. I do not disagree.
  • Garry Parrish is loving it over at CBSSports.
  • John Clay says it is the most downright jaw-dropping in the history of Rupp Arena.
  • The "Asshole" Jeff Goldman, speaks.......I kick my dog.
