Vols vs. Cats

Today is the final game of the SEC regular season for the Cats. Kentucky (7-4, 3-4) has had a good, almost very good season but have slipped of late. They take on Tennessee, (8-3, 5-2) today in series that dates back to 1893. It is impossible to call this a rivalry game, the Vols have a 22 game winning streak and have a 70-23-9 lead. The Vols need this game to clinch the East, CBS has recognized the magnitude of this game. It will be nationally televised at 1:30 EST, the first time this match up has been on TV since 1998. A win today, couple with a bowl win (hopefully New Years day) would be a great ending to the season. C-A-T-S, CATS CATS CATS!

Other Notes:
Kentucky is favored by 3. The total is 63.
Tennessee has won 4 straight games.
Kentucky is 2-3 since the 6-1 start and a top 10 ranking.
Kentucky's loosing streak is the longest active streak (21 to Florida is 2nd, yikes).
Coach Rich Brooks,
"I am disappointed based on where we were five weeks ago."
